Note: Vertical: 5.0 Application Development Classification: Senior Technical Specialist/Lead Submission Deadline: 5/17/2019 5:00 PM PST Start Date: 6/10/2019 End Date: 6/30/2020 Client: California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) Description: PROJECT SCOPE/TASKS The scope of this project encompasses the following tasks: • Support FINO as a functional PeopleSoft Financials subject matter expert for PeopleSoft Financials user training and various functional projects, including mentoring and training System Support (module leads) and Information Technology staff in supporting PeopleSoft Financials. • Support FINO as a PeopleSoft Financial System Subject Matter Expert for FINOs initiatives including: new reporting initiatives, new configuration implementations, new procedure implementations and system enhancements • Provide guidance to FINO module leads and users in performance of functional testing and validation of testing for various functional projects and enhancements • Provide training to enhance Functional Module Leads knowledge, skills and abilities relating to PeopleSoft Financials and troubleshooting daily errors and reconciliations issues • Develop interfaces (inbound & outbound) and reports to load data from external systems into PeopleSoft resulting in Chatfield validations, combo rules, trees, and derive various values based on the data from the external system. • Act as a senior lead resource to the PeopleSoft Module Leads as they develop training plans and documents to train end users in all PeopleSoft modules used at CalPERS including, but not limited to, Asset Management, Contracts, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Purchasing, Billing/Collections, and Security and Reports Administration • Serve as advisor and analyst with other areas including contracts, procurement, asset management and information technology regarding PeopleSoft • Support the development of a BI based reporting system with the Investment Office. This includes developing data files and transfer mechanisms for interfaces between PeopleSoft and BI. • Oversee the development, administration, maintenance and operation of row level security in PeopleSoft Financials • Perform data analysis including providing queries and data to identify and remove unnecessary and/or redundant accounts and other configuration codes within the system. • Support and/or develop customizations made to PeopleSoft Financials. Recommend new coding techniques to ensure quality and ability • Provide functional support and guidance for PeopleSoft Financials including potential additions of new functionality to enhance the FINO, as well as automation of manual processes, business process improvements and interfaces to PeopleSoft • Provide ongoing Functional PeopleSoft Financials support to program areas in the development and enhancement of statements related to the my|CalPERS (MYCP) system generated receivables including the design, build and deploy of statements, invoices, dunning letters and reports (Application Designer, BI Publisher, Application Engine, PeopleCode, PS Query) for accounts receivables/collection efforts. • Provide ongoing functional/technical support to interface MyCalPERS files with PeopleSoft Financials • Work with Treasury Management, CA State Treasury and external banking institutions to ensure EFT and ACH debits and credits are processing properly in the system and make any necessary changes to file layouts required by the business requirements and the banking institutions • Provide guidance to the PeopleSoft Module Leads in the implementation of user security for new roles/permissions as needed for projects and new functionality • Pr   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
