The system has custom components not supported by the vendor and is hosted on site at CalPERS with an API in Azure. Contractor will only proceed on work with prior authorization from CalPERS INVO TMU. Support AREIS 10.5 Upgrade • Provide, support, and assist the development team in implementing the AREIS 10.5 upgrade; • Use development and release management tools as directed by INVO TMU including but not limited to Azure DevOps Boards, Microsoft Teams and other project and development methodologies; • Support AREIS upgrade project team in testing, bug tracking and fixes; • Provide subject matter expertise and recommendations regarding custom features, design improvements as appropriate to a like for like upgrade; • Provide knowledge transfer as part of implementation and upgrade rollout to maintenance and operations support including the TMU Business Analyst and ITSB AREIS System Support; • Provide documentation related to all analysis and development work as requested by INVO TMU. General AREIS Support • Determine impact of reported defects or enhancements to existing application; • Propose one or more design options as appropriate to each situation, including a level-ofeffort estimate and target delivery date; • Document the design option selected by CalPERS and obtain approval from the INVO TMU for the design; • Develop approved application changes within the existing technical environments, using the approved promotion path and QA/testing methodology; • Performing internal unit/QA testing and facilitate user acceptance testing; • Collaborate with the CalPERS ITSS staff who are assigned to support AREIS in deploying update packages; • Update and enhance system documentation to keep it synchronized with system and environment changes; • Coordinate with CalPERS System Support with regard to the scope and timing of any planned and/or emergency deployments. Support System for Portfolio Attributes and Relationships (SPAR) • Assist with maintenance of the System for Portfolio Attributes and Relationships (SPAR) application. Work entails database development and ETL processes that designed using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS); • Coordinate with INVO TMU to ensure those defects are retested and confirmed as corrected; • Participate in weekly/monthly management status meetings and other similar meetings when requested. Knowledge Transfer Contractor will provide targeted knowledge transfer to personnel in the Investment Technology Management Unit as it relates to this Letter of Engagement: • Contractor will provide knowledge transfer of reporting efforts, escalated system issues, and application changes and enhancements. • Knowledge transfer to occur via collaborative documentation, cross training and job shadowing. • Knowledge transfer to take place at CalPERS via regular scheduled meetings and review of documentation. • Documentation to include best practices and lessons learned during the project.
