Responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analyses in support of operations. This individual will provide impactful guidance on day to day business decisions and company-wide initiatives. You will work with internal partners to understand key supply chain and merchandising strategies to assess sound financial impact to your key areas of the P&L. Budgeting/ Planning (20%) • Create annual operating and overhead budgets in partnership with Operations business partners • Support monthly P&L review process by reviewing actual results versus plan, preparing monthly variance reports for business owners, and analyzing key performance drivers 2. Forecasting (30%) • Collaborate with Operations to develop monthly financial forecasts that incorporate current business trends and strategies • Quantify and articulate risks and opportunities in achieving forecasts and prepare cause of change reports • Create ad-hoc forecasts as needed during key periods to provide insights into areas of risk and opportunity and influence business strategies 3. Analysis (30%) • Develop and maintain cross-functional relationships with key business partners to ensure alignment on strategies to maximize financial results • Review trends to identify, communicate, and take action on opportunities to leverage expense • Conduct ad-hoc analyses and build financial models to inform strategies, investment recommendations, and new business opportunities 4. Accounting Support (20%) • Monitor P&L lines during monthly financial close; be able to discuss variances to forecast and plan • Conduct research as needed during monthly financial close • Ensuring integrity of operational and financial reporting Position Description Develops and executes financial planning processes for expense areas Develops forecasts for assigned operations, divisions, or departments Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity Oversees performance management activities Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions Provides input for business decisions *Minimum Qualifications • 4 years work experience with at least 2 years in a finance or accounting role • 2 years in a role supporting month-end close or working closely with accounting business partners • Supply chain, retail, and e-commerce experience preferred • Bachelors degree required; B.S. in business administration, economics, finance, mathematics preferred Additional Preferred Qualifications • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills • Demonstrated record of process improvement • Rigorous attention to detail • Passion to learn and ability to absorb new information rapidly • Strong written and verbal communication • Solid understanding of accounting principles • Experience preparing journal entries and accruals • Must have substantial experience with MS Excel • Ability to work independently • SQL programming a plus • SAP, Essbase experience preferred   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
