The Digital Product Design (DPD) group within the Innovation Group R&D focuses on providing product strategy and experience design on multiple proof-of-concept (POC) projects using design thinking, lean UX and agile product development methodologies. The Functional Product Manager is an individual contributor role. The successful candidate is a creative thinker and proactive practitioner with an entrepreneurial mindset who can work at both strategic and tactical levels across multiple product development engagements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design the banking experiences of the future by understanding business goals and customers needs while partnering with designers, researches, business strategists and technologists to bring early versions of new product experiences to life through demos, prototypes and customer pilots. Participate in multiple product development efforts with a special emphasis on developing immersive user-centric experiences. Collaborate on conducting new or leverage existing customer research while partnering with individual Lines of Business to align their insights for a compelling product use-cases Listen for and identify patterns from external and internal research and translate findings into simple, powerful concepts and products Gather and analyze business requirements starting with early concept development, MVP design, iterative prototype development incl. Agile/Scrum methodologies. Own, groom and prioritize the backlog. Be a critical thinker with an analytical mindset and ability to bring order from chaos Serve as a compelling storyteller and trusted partner who helps traditional lines of business anticipate disruption and invest wisely in novel methods, partnerships and experiments Lead through a proactive sense of urgency about the future of financial services and the import of our work for customers and the economy DETAILED TASKS Facilitate activities in the discovery and design phases of lean product development aimed at understanding users needs, business goals while employing lean product design methodologies incl.
