General Description: The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for design, development, testing, maintenance, and support of enterprise-wide data analytics and reporting solutions. A strong analysis background will allow this individual to help drive adoption of the Business Intelligence vision by partnering with the business users to understand, design and build solutions that enable a self-service reporting environment and promote a shift from reporting to analytics. The Business Intelligence Developer will work with developers, database administrators and data architects to refine the approach to and implementation of BI technology standards in order to drive consistency and adoption of the BI platform. · Creates, maintains and supports a master data hub, analytical data warehouse, data marts, BI tools and access to those tools and their meta-data · Interact with business stewards, subject matter experts and stakeholders to relate data and difficult technical concepts in business terms, constantly working to create strong working relationships, adoption and interaction with business areas. · Acts as a creative partner to the business areas and enables ownership of BI assets by the business stakeholders. · Communicates effectively to business and technology constituents regarding BI tools, standards, meta-data and solutions to optimize BI usage. · Coordinate and develop data models, BI and Data Warehouse capabilities to support business initiatives · Establish BI reference models, standards, policies and guidelines · Reviews project data models and subject areas with input to information design. · Works with infrastructure teams to ensure adequate capacity and performance planning · Collaborate with other technical and business resources to establish cross-functional BI standards and policies · Provide support to all BI assets by working through Solution and Data Architecture · Assists in oversight of technical and business aspects of business intelligence · Responsible for the analysis, design, coding and development of dashboards and reporting solutions · Builds and presents BI prototypes to encourage creative, analytic thought for both business and technical teams. · Skilled at data modeling, report development, dashboard composition and user interface design · Responsible for the development and maintenance of reports, cubes, report models and other BI related products and infrastructure. · Assist with product demonstrations and training development and delivery. · Act as a mentor to users of BI technology by helping design, tune and optimize reports for self service · The ability to successfully work at high intellectual levels in an environment with high expectations where priorities and projects are constantly dynamic. · Excellent analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills with hands on experience working with large datasets · Strong working technical knowledge of business intelligence domain · Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to communicate information technology concepts to non-technology personnel. ·   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
