This is a 3 - 6 month Right to Hire contract for a Salesforce Administrator/Developer. Below are the technical requirements of the position and the eventual Job Description once we hire the individual.

- Technical Requirements

Possess current Salesforce Administrator Certification & Platform App Builder Certification

Knows when to use declarative vs. programmatic methods

How to design the data model, user interface, business logic, process automation, and security to address requirements

Accelerate program implementation through development and governance of the Salesforce Development Lifecycle.

How to deploy custom applications

How to design reports and dashboards

Familiarity with the capabilities of the Lightning Platform

Awareness of Salesforce license types and related considerations

Familiarity with the social and mobile capabilities of the platform; accustomed to using and optimizing business applications on a mobile device

Familiarity with the Salesforce development environments and the options available to deploy applications and manage changes on the Lightning Platform

Job Description

GENERAL INFORMATION

Briefly describe the purpose of the work unit.

The Chief Technology Office division exists to satisfy the business needs of our customers through the development of partnerships, consulting, planning, application development and support, project management, responsiveness, and strategic thinking. Enterprise Applications delivers high quality application development and support to its customers while looking for opportunities to use newer technologies to deliver those services more efficiently, effectively, and elegantly.

Briefly summarize the purpose of this position.

The Developer II has responsibilities across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from business requirements to support, but he or she is primarily focused on development activities. Development activities include: working with business analysts and customers to understand requirements; working with team members to apply secure programming techniques using standards and best practices; commenting code for peers and testers; performing unit testing, configuration management, source code control, deployment and release management; and providing support services as needed. Operational support services vary in scope from minor bug fixes (tickets) to major enhancements (change orders). As an application reaches the sunset stage, the developer is also expected to participate in planning efforts around replacement and modernization. The developer operates at the application level. The Developer II collaborates across a matrix management environment with other developers and other OIT department staff as needed. Must understand lines of authority and follow protocol to engage other resources. Developer II performs all job duties without additional prompting by supervisor or team lead.
