Description :

It is seeking a Telecom Engineer to complement the capabilities of Telecommunications team. The person should be a self-starter; detail and customer service oriented, should have excellent written and oral skills and must also be able to work in a fast passed customer oriented environment.

IT services necessary for the completion/deployment, required maintenance and enhancement for the following program critical systems:

Avaya phone system support, including troubleshooting telecom outages, issues and maintenance, as needed, and interfacing with telecom vendors, DSS and DAS/BEST.
Call/Benefit Center and IVR support for DSS
Responsible for maintaining an on-going status/tracking process, including working closely with the with the business team to understand current state and requirements for future state/system changes.
Avaya Call Accounting and Reporting package, including creating custom reports, as needed.

SCOPE OF WORK

Description

This consultant is needed as a supplement to the DSS Telecommunications unit.

The scope of services required for the Telecom Engineer is two parts and includes:

Maintenance of the Avaya phone system, including:
o Troubleshooting of issues
o MAC support for phone sets, headsets and voicemail
o System configuration and programming
o Use of the Call Accounting and Reporting package
Design, Develop and Implement changes to the IVR, including:
o Software and Database development for the project
o Documenting business requirements and working with the business team and the Avaya vendor to enhance the IVR call workflow
o Working with the business team to create reports, as needed
o Working collaboratively with DSS LAN Services and DAS/BEST
Additional support requests, as needed

Number of Consultants needed

The project requires one full-time Telecom Engineer Level 4 for the duration of the project.

Specific Services Required

The consultant must create and follow a project plan that fits within the requirements of this project.
The consultant must work collaboratively with DSS LAN Services, the business and the vendor, as required.

Required Skills/Experience

10+ years in supporting Avaya phone systems and IVR applications a must.
Expert working knowledge of Avaya telephony network and PBX switches
Experience working with the following: Avaya Experience Portal Manager – IVR, Avaya Media Processing Platform, VoiceXML and IVR Designer, Avaya Text to Speech (TTS), Avaya Application Enablement Services (AES), Session Border Controllers, Avaya Aura Media Server, and Communication Manager.
Strong ability to work with business staff to create reports.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with limited direction including the ability to motivate others and provide extensive documentation.
Strong experience with creating Project Plans.

Strong ability to work with staff of varying skill levels (executive, business, technical and non-technical). This includes both technical detail and leading meetings with high-level technical and non-technical staff.
