The project manager will report directly to the Director of Platform Services. The engagement is due to start January 2, 2014. Duration is 12 months with a possible extension. Responsibilities Include: Initiation: -Business Development Interface -Project Charter -Project Profile -User Requirement Documents (SAR) -Strategic Project Plan Design: -Coordinate all technology and business stakeholder meetings including vendors -Compare project initial design to State Architecture standards -Perform GAP analysis, engage Architecture team, schedule TRG meeting, if needed, and process standard exceptions -Work with all stakeholders, architecture and engineering staff to come up with a final draft design and hardware/software needs -Adjust design for capacity planning projections -ackup, Restore, DR and BCP procedures -1st level, 2nd level and vendor support models with MOU (SLA) -Training(Support staff and Users) Implementation: -Adjust the strategic project plan and build a tactical project plan from the final design with phase gate milestones and sign offs -Facilitate hardware/software procurement -Facilitate initial vendor software deployment and code movement policies -Facilitate project phases through project lifecycle -Coordinate User Acceptance Testing and/or Pilot -Schedule “Go Live” date, work with the project sponsor and vendor to freeze system changes, communicate system availability, and migrate production data -Post implementation Deliverables include: -Detailed Strategic and Tactical MS Project plan (work breakdown structure, process interdependencies, critical path, etc.) -Communication plan and appropriate communication vehicles to keep all levels of DAS management and staff informed as to impact and value of changes -Project monitoring and control procedures -Bi-weekly reports to document project progress/resolution issues -Written evolution of current change management capabilities -Baseline performance indicators for redesigned change management processes -Detail application and technology process flows and procedures -Process training curriculum and materials Skills/Experience required: *Good oral and written communication skills *Minimum of 5 years of Information Technology Infrastructure Project Management Experience *PMI or PMP certification desirable but not required *Extensive experience with project management and project management techniques with large scale IT projects *Strong team building and issue resolution skills *Experience with meeting facilitation and documentation *Experience with ITIL based processes *Experience with creating and presenting status reports for presentation to Steering Committee and other stakeholders *Documented history of project delivery within time constraints, according to project plan and within budget *Experience utilizing Rational Unified Process (RUP), Excel, and MS Project; working knowledge of Visio, Word and MS PowerPoint Responses: Responses to this Statement of Work must include resume of those persons who will be available for the duration of the engagement.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
