Description: Our client is embarking on the Enterprise Data Management journey that includes building strong master data management, data catalog, data governance, data quality, data modeling, metadata management, data semantics and ontology practices. We are building a comprehensive Data Management Platform that will support these practices. Ontology Senior Data Model is a key role responsible for developing and maintaining the clients Data Ontology. Responsibilities: Serve as Subject Matter Expert on development and maintaining the clients Enterprise Ontology Drive Ontology usage and adoption across the enterprise: Use Ontology as key input into Master Data Management solution Use Ontology in enterprise data modeling as a single integrated definition of data, unbiased of any system or application Stimulate ontology usage in data governance, help to uncover rules that govern data Practice ontology in data integration; verify the user-defined mappings used to integrate data from multiple sources; auto-generate mapping using the ontology as a global query schema Use ontology in data virtualization efforts Promote ontology usage in data science to uncover hidden insights Create the clients knowledge graph Develop ontology training program Select comprehensive set of ontology tools and ensure tool adoption within the enterprise Skills, Knowledge and Experiences: Bachelors degree in technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program Deep financial industry knowledge (ideally in insurance or retirement services) Experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML) Class Diagrams, object-based modeling concepts, and logical data models. Design, development, presentation, and analysis of a domain based logical data model.
