We are developing a framework that collects, aggregates and analyzes real time application utilizations and capacities across the firm. It provides automation for collecting system metrics data, storage of historical metrics and an interactive web application to render the results. Must Have Key Skills: Cassandra Kafka Sparc - SQL Flume Required Qualifications: Experience with performance teaming and be able to scale production support environment Experience with large Volumes of Data Processing 1GB/min 100 GB/Day, 1 Billion Records per day Experience with Apache Kafka Experience implementing real time stream processing Experience with distributed computing Minimum 5 years building and tuning Enterprise Java applications Minimum 2 years understanding of traditional ETL tools & RDBMS Minimum 3 years working in a SQL - Oracle environment Core Application is Cassandra and Sparc Must have experience with Distrubuted Services at 10 Nodes Clusters (50 100) Desired Qualifications: Sound understanding of HDFS Under broad direction, will focus on delivering key technologies to the overall technical software architecture. The expertise may include functional understanding of well site delivery mechanisms. Using an understanding of the technological advances in both the software industry and in technical software delivery process to deliver fit for purpose software in a more timely manner. This person will have had experience in leading software development projects especially at a systems level and may provide Technical Excellence Leadership for more than one team, providing expert guidance to software developers and support staff. Provides a strong technical focus in product planning for a complete software system. Job role contributes to value creation. Skills typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or similar discipline. Education Level: Bachelors Degree Minumium Qualifications 5+ years of experience Strong programming and problem solving skills String Design Pattern Knowledge Architecture experience Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in the following: o JavaSE and JavaEE o Spring framework o Database and SQL o Hibernate or JPA o Web technologies o Strong team work and communication skills HADOOP knowledge is a plus Act as a resource to provide services to client. Perform various Cassandra design- and development activities as required. Perform various Hive, Pig, Oozie (and other Hadoop tools) design and development activities as required is a nice to have. Perform various Java-based design- and development activities as required. Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations for client as required. Advise on methods and best practices in aforementioned tools as required. Provide weekly written status to team lead.
