The primary responsibilities under limited direction are: Build and maintain virtual servers for in-house and client use. Software installation, maintenance, and upgrading. Hosted system security management. Hardware installation, maintenance, and upgrading. Research and troubleshooting of hardware, networking, and software issues. Routine server administration and maintenance; including but not limited to: user account maintenance, manage system backups, and system health monitoring. Write and maintain system documentation. Basic SQL Server database supervision as necessary. Completes other tasks as assigned. Additional skills that the ideal candidate would possess with at least 5 years of experience: Knowledge and experience with managing systems in large-scale VMware hosting environments. Knowledge and experience with implementing and maintaining Microsoft Active Directory with multiple security levels. Knowledge and experience with system and application monitoring systems; implementation and ongoing management. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft RDS. Knowledge and experience with Cisco ASA and router based VPN configuration management. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff. Knowledge and experience with Nautilus® software installation and management is a plus. Knowledge and experience with SAN and NAS systems are a plus.
