These solutions must be aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organizations architectural standards. Involved in the full systems life cycle and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting applications software that is delivered on time and within budget. Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code. Responsibilities may also include participation in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations. Has experience in systems analysis, design and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance and integration methodologies. Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Experience: Typically has 2 to 5 years of programming/systems analysis experience. Job Specific – Duties/ Tasks: List the activities this candidate will be tasked with included, but are not limited to the following: 1. Skill in coding with Visual Studio.NET, C#, MVC, nHibernate, Telerik Kendo UI and AngularJS, and thoroughly testing, and debugging complex applications using web based and object oriented programming languages. 2. Skill in interpreting and communicating technical information related to computer programming and data processing, both verbally and in writing. Job Specific – Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs): The submitted candidate must be able to apply knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of system development and maintenance life cycles; 2. Ability to work independently in the technical analysis, evaluation and resolution of custom-written computer application production issues or problems, with little or no assistance, and to make decisions and recommendations to remediate those issues or problems. 3. Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming principles, design and practices. 4. Knowledge of relational database theories, concepts and access methods. 5. Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and prioritize work assignments for him/herself or lower level analysts. 6. Skill in accurately estimating time requirements for computer programming tasks for a project. 7. Skill in customer service. 8. Ability to work effectively with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Data Analysts, and Technical Architects to build efficient, long term solutions in the development of business applications utilizing all established departmental standards. 9. Ability to analyze processes and workflows to design efficient information solutions. 10. Ability to prepare complex computer program specifications. 11. Ability to prepare computer program test plans, to create test databases and test environments, and to write and maintain unit tests. 12. Ability to develop and manage information systems documentation in accordance with the Departments standards. 13. Ability to receive and give constructive criticism, and maintain effective work relationships with others. Knowledge Skills and Abilities – preferable but not required 1. Previous experience working at FDOT 2. Ability to develop and maintain code written in multiple architectures. Familiarity with Onion architecture is preferred.
