Description:

4 Scope of Services

This resource will primarily be tasked with performing providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 support of medium to high complexity. Provide project management to support activities for FDOT including, but not limited to the following:
1. Monitoring the Service Desk queue and resolving support tickets as assigned.
2. Performing advanced troubleshooting to determine cause of problem. Installs, configures and provides user support of personal computers and peripheral equipment to include software installation and upgrades, patches and advanced technical support within specified time frame.
3. Oversees, coordinates, and/or participates in projects like the Personal Computer Replacement Project, Memory Upgrade Project, Operation System Upgrade Project, etc.
4. Provides support for software applications such as Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, various off the shelf and Department developed applications, as needed or assigned.
5. Participates on statewide teams both internal and external to the Office of Information Technology (OIT).
6. Coordinates service calls and repairs for warranty and non-warranty repairs.
7. Installs, maintains, and supports specialized software applications as assigned.
8. Provides Audio Visual (AV) and Video Conference (VC) support as assigned.
5 Education

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
6 Experience

Minimum of 2-5 years of experience.
7 Primary Job Duties/ Tasks

Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Developer; Project Manager; Analyst; Designer; Data Administration; DB Technical Support; Manager/Supervisor; and staff functions as required by the FDOT Business Systems Support Office or their management that is consistent with Business Systems Support Office practices such as Employee Conferences, Orientation, Staff/Team Meetings, Safety, Evaluation, Committees, Security, Recognition, Performance Measures, Logging of time, Management and Control, Provide training, Receive Training, BSSO Standards and Technical Teams, Agile Development, Information, Standards Development Methodology (ISDM), IRMC requirements, IRR proposals/submittals/recommendations, Create (software), Maintain (software), FDOT Enterprise Library, Internet Collaboration, Great Ideas, BSSO Enterprise Application Coordinator, Customer Support, FDOT Internet Website Coordinator, WEB Reviews, End User Development, AD Governance, SharePoint User Group, Technical Advisory Group, Web Standards, SharePoint Team, Outages (Systems/Office/Facilities Down), Application Documentation, Service Desk Queue Management, & Reception.
8 Job Specific Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

1. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products, including operating systems, Office Suite and Outlook in a networked environment.
2. Advanced knowledge of computer software, hardware, and firmware relative to personal computers.
3. Skilled at installing and providing technical support for software applications, operating systems and personal computer hardware.
4. Ability to do advanced troubleshooting on various manufacturers of computers.
