The primary focus of this position is to assist OTD staff with the enhancement, testing, and configuration of Esri Roads and Highways data. The Office of Transportation Data is responsible for developing and maintaining the linear referencing system (LRS) or roadway network which is used by state and federal agencies. In addition to the base LRS, OTD is responsible for maintaining over 60 events on the network and assists in identifying the geographic and route/milepoint locations of agency assets. It is looking to streamline data workflows, data processing, event modeling, and further leverage the capabilities of RNH. Candidate will work directly with OTD and IT staff to learn current processes, strategize/recommend solutions, prototype, and test/validate data workflows/editing processes. Candidate will be working within OTD and work closely with the Enterprise GIS Team of IT Applications to accomplish GDOT objectives and ensure GDOT data needs are met. Candidate will work with supporting IT team members (database, network, server, etc.). Responsibilities: Works with end users to develop and test data creation, processing, editing, workflows, and loading procedures Performs geospatial data QA/QC and validation within testing environments Ensures completion of data updates and facilitates resolution of data governance/quality issues Troubleshoots and resolves support issues with user access, permissions, data editing jobs, versions/state trees, conflict resolution, data reconciliation, data compression, and data publishing Facilitates data loading and publishing of data to GDOT IT enterprise Facilitates resolution of data issues identified within RNH published data Provides system administration of RNH Workflow Manager and Event Editor Develops map templates Assists with RNH system administration, enhancements, and upgrades Facilitates replication, synchronization, and restoration of geodatabases Facilitates resolution of geodatabase administration, configuration, tuning, and performance monitoring issues Facilitates development of spatial views and data views Provides hands-on end-user instruction, support, and training as needed to facilitate RNH data maintenance Assists in maintaining support documentation, geodatabase metadata, data dictionaries, and Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD) Facilitates GIS data interoperability with Bentley Microstation transportation design plans Required Skills: Bachelors in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field 5+ yrs experience – ArcGIS Desktop (10x) with geodatabase development, editing, analysis, and QA/QC 3+ yrs experience with ArcGIS Desktop Workflow Manager (WMX)/Job Tracking Extensions (JTX) 3+ yrs Experience supporting ArcGIS/ArcSDE geodatabases in multi-user/versioned environment 2+ yrs experience with Esri Roads and Highways, Workflow Manager, and Event Editor Data analysis, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills Experience with supporting ArcGIS Desktop users Experience with Python scripting and Esri Model Builder Experience with batch data loading data processing Experience in extracting and loading CAD data to geodatabases Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS (Relational database management system) and SDO Geometry Ability to multi-task, detail oriented, and have strong organizational skills Accountable and results/deadline oriented Excellent comm   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
