Responsibilities: Initial responsibility will include translating business policy into business and technical designs. After the designs have been completed the policy will be implemented via enhancing current Medicaid system; Designs, codes, tests Applies specialization to conceptualize, design, construct, test, and implement health care solutions for Medicaid clients through application of appropriate software development using a life cycle methodology; Participates in business and technical solution implementations, upgrades, enhancement and conversions; Collaborates with others in analyzing collected requirements to ensure plans and identified solutions meet client needs and expectations; Interacts with the client to gain understanding of the business environment and technical context; project. Has an advanced level of knowledge, skill and expertise around the particular industry or client that he/she supports; Supports all aspects of the business cycle, including proposals, feasibility studies, and implementations. Qualifications: Improves industry, client and business expertise through training and experience Knowledge of Health Reform Legislation, Medicaid Management Information Systems and other Medicaid-related systems Must have strong writing skills and excellent organizational ability Provide support for assigned client(s) in respective industry specifically Medicaid Provides industry/client expertise to client/client delivery executive in understanding business processes and determining high-level solutions Requires ability to handle multiple tasks Requires ability to work independently Requires critical thinking skills Requires effective problem solving skills and attention to detail Requires initiative and ability to adjust to changes in policy/procedures Requires organizational and interpersonal skills Requires strong written and verbal communication skills Researches, identifies and develops solutions to business problems Supports all aspects of the business cycle, including proposals, feasibility studies, and implementations Requires strong oral communication skills to include the ability to effectively interact with our clients, business partners, and internal team members Requires strong interpersonal skills to include patience, persistence, and flexibility as well as the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with client, peers, and others Education/Licenses/Certifications: Candidates must have a BS or equivalent degree in Management Information Systems Experience: Three plus years of experience in a C/Unix, and application development environments Requires ability to use Oracle relational data base Experience developing systems in a Health Care business environment Experience with Medicaid regulations and business processes Gather requirements from a client to ensure HP can provide the appropriate system or level of service to meet business needs Experience in gathering client requirements to develop / define system scope Experience in using client requirements to develop business design solutions Defines scope, plans, and deliverables for assigned projects Collects, identifies, defines, and organizes detailed user and information technology requirements Identifies and resolves business and/or technical problems Experience in creating system documentation   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
