Review of functional and technical specifications for potential performance issues. Review of program code to identify potential performance issues. Developing test plans, developing and executing formal test cases to ensure the delivery of quality software application. Design, write and edit test cases to ensure software performs as designed. Review system use cases and functional specifications with the appropriate business analyst. Conduct test cases peer review. Ensure all levels of testing are conducted with adequate coverage. Identify potential problems, omissions and open issues, attend walkthroughs and signoff meetings. Manage the release cycle, identify Quality risks, escalate issues in a timely manner and manage defects to closure. Will execute jobs and produce documentation on the performance characteristics of the job.
