Research and investigate the design, functionality and maintenance of electro-mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes. Job Title: Mechanical Engineer 3 Location: Mossville, IL Duration: 24 months Candidate Responsibilities: A Product Engineer supporting the Electromagnetic Actuator & Valve Team at Client Location. This specific position will be supporting engine actuators that control air, gas and fluid flow for various new development and product support projects. Research and investigate the design, functionality and maintenance of electro-mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes. Typical Day: Each day would be very dynamic and different depending on the specific projects and phases of the projects. Collaborating with system teams, outside suppliers, and testing labs to ensure new products are successful & existing product issues are resolved quickly (common theme). Expect to have multiple high priority projects that make the days go by quickly. Candidate will be required to be on-site periodically from beginning of assignment and will move to full-time on-site once COVID restrictions have lifted. Education Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Engineering - Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics plus 4+ years relevant engineering experience required. Technical Skills: Ability to create detailed & actionable verification and validation test plans from product knowledge and a high level understanding of application risk. Work with internal test labs, supplier test labs, and machine/engine field testing sites to execute these plans. Ability to interpret GD&T, technical drawings, and schematics. Previous experience with typical computer applications and software related to engineering field. Understanding of electricity & magnetism and how it is applied to actuate mechanical and hydraulic mechanisms. Understanding of engine and emission control systems. Candidates who have experience with product type experience will be passed through. - Air/Fluid electrical valves, Torque Motor, etc. Soft Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
