Initial contract is for 12 months. Interested development professionals will need expertise in the following: Solid understanding of database design principals Minimum 1 year experience with PostgreSQL 9.3 (Postgres) Solid understanding of query execution plans Mastery of ANSI SQL and/or PL-SQL Good SQL scripts skill including SPs, PSQL scripting & functions Good performance tuning skills Ability to proactively identify, troubleshoot and resolve production database systems issues. Solid background using UNIX operating systems - RedHAT or CentOS Knowledge of disaster recovery principles and practices, including planning, testing, backup/restore Experience in replication Hands-on experience on database administration, backup recovery and troubleshooting Problem-solving skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment Ability to communicate ideas and designs to all stakeholders, including non-technical audiences Education and Experience: Minimum bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field; Minimum five years of progressive experience performing PostgreSQL administration in a production environment; experience should include three or more years of database administration in an enterprise level environment with very large databases (ORDBMS).   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
