The purpose of this Request for Proposals (“RFP”) is to enter into an agreement with a vendor to provide a VB.Net developer to assist our Office. Responsibilities: This resource will be responsible for migrating applications that currently reside in MicroFocus COBOL to Visual Basic.Net. The existing applications are antiquated, so this project will involve working directly with the users to gather requirements and architect solutions that will meet todays needs. In addition to the MicroFocus apps, there are ancillary systems residing in Excel, Access and FileMaker Pro. The functionality of these ancillary systems will need to be built into the new app so that users no longer need to enter information into multiple systems.
