Requested enhancements and/or modifications to the Application, including: o Reviewing all requests to determine the feasibility of the request: o Assisting with the development of functional requirements and design o Development of the technical design documentation, including:: ??Database Design (working with the assigned DBA) ??User Interface (UI) Prototypes ??Business Rules ??Report Prototypes Responsible for the development and unit testing of new applications, application enhancements, and/or modifications, including: o Application On-Line functionality o Application Batch processes o Application Reports Responsible for the completion of special Management requests, including ad hoc report requests All work must follow application, user interface, and database standards established by the State Retirement System. Required Skills: * Candidate must have a bachelors degree in Computer Science or related fields (or equivalent knowledge, skill, experience and mental development). * Candidate must have a minimum of 4 years recent experience building complex client-server and browser based applications with the following technologies and infrastructure: * C# using Visual Studio 2005 (or newer) * VB.Net using Visual Studio 2005 (or newer) * MS SQL Server 2005/2008 * MS .Net Framework 2.0 or higher * MS Entity Framework (EF) and LINQ * ASP.Net * HTML * Javascript * jQuery * TSQL * UI architectural models such as Model/View/View Model (MVVM) * Agile Development methodologies such as Scrum * Automation and solution development in Microsoft Office * Candidate must have a minimum of 4 years recent experience with the following business skills: System Development Life Cycle (SDLC); Business Analysis; Functional Design/prototyping; and Technical design. * Candidate must have a minimum of 6 months recent experience using the following: CodeSmith (4.x or 5.x) or a similar code generating tool; Microsoft Office 2007 products; SQL server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL server Integration Services (SSIS).
