Job Description:

Role will perform end user testing (UAT/UI Testing) of new features in an Agile Team and/or a Waterfall/Adaptive Project Team. The role will support Releases that require working after business hours, weekends, and/or certain Holidays.

Specialist, User Acceptance Testing

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

This position will perform and deliver on routine assignments/projects while simultaneously leveraging and applying knowledge of his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.

This position will collaborate with business stakeholders to develop and deliver user acceptance testing ensuring project deliverables meet the needs, goals and objectives for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.

Promotes and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.

Performs and delivers on routine assignments/projects while simultaneously leveraging and applying knowledge of his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.

Identifies and communicates to management process improvements that reduce workloads or improve quality for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.

Partners with internal stakeholders to develop and deliver testing of manual and automated project deliverables to ensure they meet business requirements.

Administers formal testing with respect to user needs, requirements, and business processes conducted to determine whether or not a system satisfies the acceptance criteria and to enable the user to determine whether or not to accept the system.

Performs testing in line with what would occur in real-life scenarios.

Determines range and depth of testing activities required including developing test cases, test schedules and prepares test scripts required for acceptance testing of assigned area(s) of responsibility business applications.

Maps test cases to business requirements and tests plans.

Conducts tests to ensure problems are solved.

Acts as a final verification of the required business functionality and proper functioning of the system, emulating real-world usage conditions.

Delivers and executes projects per project life cycle.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, use hands to finger, handle & feel & talk, hear & see.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk & reach with hands & arms.

Employee must be able to work more than 40 hrs per week.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret both internal and external documents such as general media/publications, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, policies, proposals, and standard operating procedures.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Apply concepts such as probability, statistics, modeling, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.

Works with mathematical concepts such as averages and/or variances.
