HASTUS is a route and personnel scheduling and tracking platform for the transit industry. Duties and Responsibilities: The selected candidate will assist the Program Manager/Director of Modernization in the software implementation of new HASTUS modules for Bus, Heavy Rail and Light Rail transportation districts at the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority. The Business Analyst will provide change management, through analyzing data, improving business process, and creating digital training materials to bring MBTA operations into the digital age. This position will perform the following activities and examples, as well as other related tasks as the needs arise. • Task Management & Leadership: o Design and lead implementation projects to realize improvement opportunities stated in the project document o Lead junior business analysts in reviewing and analyzing business processes, investigating potential risk and opportunities, and developing business requirements. o Guide work prioritization for junior business analysts so that outcomes align with the program goals o Build and maintain the Project Plans to track all Project work streams, activities, milestones, and associated dates. o Collaborate with Project Controls Analyst to plan resources, cost, delivery schedule and asses risk for all tasks • Business Requirements Analysis & Change Management: o Work with business leads to outline and document business needs requiring business process or technical changes. o Facilitate workshops to collaboratively find solutions and document workarounds for technology updates o Document and map key business processes and identify areas of improvement, simplification, and cost reduction. o Analyze current implemented functionalities, identify opportunities for optimization, and provide recommendations. o Lead analysis for identifying, evaluating, and resolving known findings and potential issues around application functionality as it relates to business processes and technical integration. o Lead development, updating and maintenance of business requirements documentation to be used by developers for building application functionality o Manage collaboration with developer through feasibility assessment, development and testing o Manage and report on all application known findings and potential issue by working with the functional, integration and technical teams as well as with change management and project management as needed. o Work with testing team to develop a comprehensive application testing plan that validates business requirements are met by technical functionality o Work with Functional Execution Lead on developing change management materials for business process changes and new functionality. Functional Execution lead will train/and support end-users as application is rolled out. o Develop and execute training program for training new and existing WMP software end users. o Support end users on troubleshooting. o Assist with subsequent HASTUS software upgrades and related upgrades. • Data Analysis: o Identify specific business opportunities, develop/execute both high-level and detailed analytics to demonstrate potential outcomes to stakeholders o Identify key data sets and benchmark sources, and where needed, create new qualitative and quantitative data sets th   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
