These applications will leverage both configurable and customized solutions to provide interfaces for a range of users to discover and explore geodata related to our Clients core mission. The GIS Application Developer is responsible for ensuring GIS deliverables are well-planned, executed efficiently, and delivered with high quality. The GIS Application Developer will work closely with the Application team and the agency GIS Coordinators to accomplish fiscal year GIS milestones. Primary Responsibilities: • Migrate existing map applications to javascript API 4.x • Extend Web AppBuilder with custom widgets • Extend ArcGIS Hub Sites with custom html • Maintain consistent branding and look and feel between Client Department applications, with focus on readability and accessibility • Develop a style guide and best practices for future configurable solutions (ArcGIS Hub, Web AppBuilder, and others) • Implement Google Analytics for all Hub sites and configure dashboards in Google Data Studio Project Specific • Migrate Google Maps implementation to javascript API • Assist in production of the second generation of the Department Information System • Assist in the production of an ArcGIS Hub site that highlights current Dept initiatives Qualifications • 5 years of demonstrated experience in front web development (javacript, html, css) • Demonstrated experience working with the Department javascript API 4.x • Experience in working with wireframes, personas, and user stories • B.A. or B.S. in a relevant field: geographic science, computer science, graphic design, or other relevant field • Strong graphic design skills • Proficient with visual design programs such as Adobe Photoshop • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment to create top-performing interfaces • Knowledge of web readability accessibility standards, best practices, and validation tools • Experience working on multiple projects with time sensitive deadlines • Government experience is preferred but not required Desired Skills: • Prior experience building map applications • Prior experience configuring ArcGIS Hub/Open Data sites • Knowledge of and experience with ArcGIS Online • Understands technical/GIS scenarios and requirements • Must be highly organized and comfortable multi-tasking • Must be able to work independently, and collaboratively with team members • Must have good communication and customer service skills • Must be comfortable working in a fluid environment where visions and requirements may change Remote conditions Must work EST hours   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
