The existing application was built using 4D technology and connects to a 4D database. We want to make this application available on the web via 4D web services so that it can be used by mobile devices. The mobile web application will convert what is currently a paper intensive process into a fully functional electronic mobile form. The application should load existing data as requested by the user. The user will then edit this data and upload it back to the database. Application functionality will need to be maintained (i.e. subforms that display based on user input, photo uploads, minor text formatting ability, signatures, etc). Project duration will be 3 months with great potential to expand. You will occasionally need to be on-site for meetings and collaboration, but not regularly. You should have 3-5 years of development experience, be familiar and have worked with 4D technology, and have a portfolio of mobile development work. Specific Requirements : * Working knowledge of HTML5, ASP.NET 2008/2010, Web Applications, Web Services and WCF using VB.Net 2008/2010 * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal * Ability to work individually or within a team environment * Develop technology projects using software development life cycle (SDLC); including prototyping, technical design and specifications determined from business requirement documents * Develop information technology solutions based on business need and technical considerations * Ablity to translate business requirements into a technical design * Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast paced environment * Attention to detail * Solid understanding of Object Oriented analysis and design * Ability to take direction, constructive criticism and work to specified deadlines * Implement programming changes to production following system life cycle and release strategy procedures * Must be sufficiently familiar with data modeling for Oracle environments or SQL Server * Familiarity with source control software: Source Safe * Experience in tools like Haleys or OPA * Exposure in Rules Based application development * Exposure to Entity Framework and LINQ Required Skills : * Web Development: HTML5 * Web Development: Mobile Web Applications * Web Development: VB.NET 2008/2010 * Web Development: ASP.NET 2008/2010 * Database: Oracle (11g) and SQL Server 2005/2008 * Web Servers: Internet Information Server (IIS)/ (IIS7 a plus) * Crystal Reports / SSRS * Microsoft operating systems: Windows * Strong Object Oriented design and development * Enterprise Development: .NET, XML, Web Services, WCF * Rules Based tools * VSS * 4D Development Platform   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
