This was a five year project and deployed in January of 2018. There is a substantial amount of enhancement work remaining based on new or changed requirements. In addition, there is a significant back log of defects that need to be fixed and tested. DOR is seeking to augment the existing staff with experienced quality assurance analysts familiar with a disciplined approach to all phases of testing activities. The validation effort includes a public facing web application, a relational database back end and service oriented architecture solutions. The quality assurance analyst must have strong expertise with test case creation, test execution and defect reporting. It is expected that it will take until June 30, 2019, at the earliest, to develop, test and deploy new enhancements and fix outstanding defects. The DOR organization has implemented an independent quality assurance model with executive stakeholder commitment. This position will report to the COMETS HD QA Manager / Test Lead. Major Responsibilities: • Review Use Cases , Business Scenarios and Design Specifications to create test cases • Creation of detailed test scripts and procedures to manually validate feature functionality and system integration • Defining the appropriate test cases and test scripts to ensure test coverage based on construction iteration plan • Test execution activities including Smoke Test, End to End Test, and Regression testing • Reporting daily test activity progress for roll up into test team progress summary reports • Gather, create and manage test data needed for test execution • Assure test asset traceability to requirements and other applicable design artifacts • Defect reporting, defect triage and follow through to resolution • Maintain and archive test assets Experience Required: • Strong analytical, communication and documentation skills • Experience in iterative software development life cycle methodologies • Extensive test case creation and test execution experience using tools such as Rational Quality Manager • Experience with complex order of operations related to batch schedule processing • Experience with web based application and browser testing • Extensive SQL Query Skills for database validations using tools such as TOAD • Experience with interface validation using XML Messages • Experience with document scanning, storage and retrieval solutions • Experience validating Reports generated from a data warehouse using tools such as Cognos • Ability to articulate and document defects and/or issues in a clear and detailed manner • Experience with creating daily validation progress reports Experience Desired: • Computer Science Degree • Experience with validation of web applications and/or large scale, complex public sector systems • Experience with Child Support Enforcement • Experience with IBM Rational Jazz Suite o Requirements Composer o Quality Manager o Team Concert • Familiarity with automated test tools • Exposure to accessibility testing Skills Needed: • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with fellow testers, developers, and QA management. • Demonstrate   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
