Responsibilities are to provide performance tuning recommendations to the customer, and assist with other ad-hoc performance / capacity projects. This position is part of a small team, but candidate must be self-directing Support / Operational Responsibilities: • Collection, reporting and analysis of SMF/RMF data. • Navigation of capacity/performance monitoring software tools online, either through TSO/ISPF or through Windows-based browser interfaces. • Policy setting and reporting of WorkLoad Manager (WLM). • Analysis of data from real-time z/OS performance monitoring tools. • Performance tuning of major mainframe subsystems such as CICS, IDMS, ADABAS • Performance tuning of I/O subsystems, especially with DASD and Tape peripherals. Qualifications: • Current, in-depth experience in computer performance measurement, analysis, and tuning in a large datacenter running multiple z10 computers under IBMs z/OS Operating System. • Familiarity with a Parallel Sysplex, and multiple LPAR environments. • Required expertise in CPU resource management, including IBM specialty processors. • Awareness of current industry trends and best practices, familiar with vendors problem reporting processes, and able to research new problems to find workable fixes or solutions. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of customer staff, and be able to flourish in a contract setting.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
