The Security Solutions Architect is a solutions architect who specializes in tools and processes established by the Information Security team. The Security Solutions Architect extends throughout the architectural solution covering not only information security but also capacity planning, and architectural best practices. The Security Solutions Architect will be required to effectively translate objectives established by the Information Security team into specific tool implementations and processes. The context is that the Information Security executive management identifies directions and objectives. The enterprise security architects chooses the tool, and provides the business requirements. The Security Solutions Architect reviews these business requirements and architects a solution. The Security Solutions Architect represents the architect at the Architecture Review Board. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The security solutions architect will be responsible for the following activities and functions: Develop solutions architecture and design based on direction from the enterprise security architects. Present and prepare all artifacts required by the Architecture Review Board. Develop and maintain architecture artifacts (e.g., models, templates, standards and procedures) that can be used to leverage capabilities in projects and operations Determine baseline security configuration standards for operating systems (e.g., OS hardening), network segmentation, and identity and access management (IAM) Provide detailed technical expertise Utilizes existing infrastructure security solutions and develops new security solutions to bridge gaps. Understand a companys technology and information systems Plan, research and design security solutions Identify integration issues Provide technical supervision to development teams Respond immediately to security-related incidents KEY RELATIONSHIPS The enterprise security architect liaises with important security and risk management constituencies. Specifically, the enterprise security architect may be expected to work collaboratively with individuals or departments. Qualifications EDUCATION Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field. SECURITY AND TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE The enterprise security architect should have direct, documented, and verifiable experience with the following: Direct, hands-on experience or strong working knowledge of managing security infrastructure — e.g., firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPSs), web application firewalls (WAFs), endpoint protection, SIEM and log management technology Verifiable experience reviewing application code Direct, hands-on experience or a strong working knowledge of vulnerability management tools Full-stack knowledge of IT infrastructure: Applications Databases Operating systems — Windows, Unix and Linux Hypervisors IP networks — WAN and LAN Storage networks — Fiber Channel, iSCSI and NAS Backup networks and media Direct experience designing IAM technologies and services: Active Directory Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) Strong working knowledge of IT   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
