The candidate will work with business and IT management to assist in defining and documenting business requirements; testing and validation of MMIS interfaces; and the identification and tracking of system issues. Duties: • Assist in analysis to translate business needs into business solutions • Document functional requirements for business approval and system development • Participate in the identification of test case scenarios, development and execution of test cases, validation and documentation of results, to ensure that system functionality adheres to identified requirements • Design reports and conduct analysis to diagnose existing or potential problems. • Define and document proposed solutions for identified issues • Perform analysis and quality assurance to ensure accuracy of system function, data management, reporting, and documentation • Record and monitor issues, data requests, and system enhancements • Assist with training to ensure end users and interface partners understand MMIS functionality and design • Schedule, organize and document meetings to facilitate requirements gathering, issue resolution, and project planning • Perform other job-related duties as assigned or requested Note: This is NOT a project management role. Expectation is that candidate will be able to demonstrate business analytical skills. Experience and Qualifications: • Ability to work well with business users in gathering requirements • Ability to interpret business needs and translate and communicate those needs effectively to MMIS management and development staff • Experience in the development and execution of test cases to support business requirements • Ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions • Experience working in Business Analysis area for IT projects • Possess exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, including professional writing; clearly, comprehensively and concisely including documentation skills • Excellent analytical skills • Experience with large Health Insurance and/or Medicaid • Experience with SQL and relational database query • 3 – 5 years Information Technology experience in a large project. • Varied BA experience with a large systems development project. Education: • Bachelors Degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field, or equivalent work experience. • Prior state or federal government experience is a plus.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
