Through MHC, Maryland residents explore health insurance plans, compare rates, and determine their eligibility for advanced premium tax credits (APTC), cost sharing reductions (CSR) and public assistance programs such as Medicaid and the Maryland Childrens Health Insurance Program (MCHP). MHBE seeks up to four (4) Network Managers (Infrastructure) to support MHBE. The Network Manager will provide services related to the planning, setup and maintenance of core IT infrastructure capabilities, including but not limited to, hardware and equipment, operating systems, database software, middleware, cloud and other related technology that supports mission critical systems. The Network Manager will also work with contractors in the areas of capacity planning, systems monitoring, back-up and recovery operations, and general maintenance support for IT infrastructure. The resource will provide end-to-end services for the MHBE computer user population of roughly 150 end users. Services will include network deployment, network security and maintenance of the MHBE Enterprise Network Duties / Responsibilities Assist MHBE networking staff manage and maintain routers and switches. Manage patching, testing, and deployment of workstation and server updates using Absolute Manage. Manage the configuration and implementation of an MHBE-wide asset management tool. Serve as MHBE Incident Response Lead; coordinate responses to network incidents. Configure and manage VPN installation and maintenance. Assist MHBE networking staff with desktop support. Work with MHBE contractors by participating in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity support. Independently and effectively set milestones and meet deadlines to accomplish assigned tasks under tight timeframes with little room for error. Solve complex technical problems through critical and analytical thinking. Participate in meetings regarding projects, hosting and data center services, product evaluations, and other activities. Adhere to all MHBEs standard processes, procedures, and guidelines. Note: The candidate must have the flexibility to work overtime, as needed, to include weekends, holidays, and off-hours. Minimum Qualifications For minimum qualifications, see the labor category description in the MHBE IT IDIQ RFP for the subject RFR labor category. In addition, qualified candidates should, in general, meet the minimum qualifications specified below. Please refer to RFP Section 2.6.1 Minimum qualifications for substitution requirements. Candidates that do not meet minimum qualifications will be deemed not reasonably susceptible for award and will not progress to full evaluation. Minimum Qualifications A minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a Network Engineer, Security Analyst, Security Administrator, and/or Network Desktop Specialist. A minimum of three (3) years of experience managing enterprise networks. Experience with Security Configuration Baselines. Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale IT enterprise projects in dynamic and fast-paced environments. Demonstrated experience coordinating across multiple groups and interacting with various teams to achieve successful outcomes. Excellent critical thinking, analytic and problem-solving skills.
