The level of effort has been scoped by Aderas to fill a niche role for 400 hours of two .net developers who have Postgres experience or 200 hours of one experienced developer. AWS and Oracle skill sets will be provided by our prime, Aderas, as well as all project management. It is expected that the hours be continuous and must be on-site starting mid-September, 2019. Main Objective: .NET developer(s) will review incompatible .NET code statements and coordinate the .NET code changes with the end clients developers to address the Oracle/SQL Server to Postgres Conversions. This will be done in a typical Agile/Scrum fashion. Key Tasks: ADERAS task to migrate databases to the cloud include: Migrating applications from on-premises Oracle databases to AWS Postgres RDS databases. Identifying any impact(s) to existing functions/procedures and other database objects that are not supported in Postgres and present and implementing alternative solutions. Modifying the .NET application code to operate with the new database The contracted VDev .NET developer will Modify the application code to maintain functionality Modify the .NET application code to operate with the new database including Imbedded CRUD Scripts Drivers / Class Libraries references Perform unit testing Support code deployments Support functional regression testing by FINRA Support rework (bugfixes) from testing in the lower environments It is likely that new functionality will be developed by the end client while the conversion is going, so reviews and conversion will be iterative until the database conversion is completed. So, .NET developer will take place during the same period of the database code conversion.
