Job Description Developer: Microsoft Exchange Expert 2010 & 2013, Web Accessibility, SAN Storage, Microsoft Exchange Server

*Description:
The Client is a not-for-profit unit of government that operates the local public transit system for the greater Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti area. AAATA is governed by a ten-member Board of Directors; eight of which are appointed by the Mayor of Ann Arbor with approval of City Council; one appointed by the Mayor of Ypsilanti with approval of City Council; and one appointed by the Ypsilanti Township Supervisor with approval from the Ypsilanti Township Board.

AAATA is planning an email server migration from Microsoft Exchange 2010 to Microsoft Exchange 2013. AAATA currently operates a Microsoft Exchange Server 2008 with SP2. The server runs in a VMWare vSphere v5.5 Enterprise environment and utilizes EMC VNXe3200 SAN storage.

*Required Skills:
As part of the Microsoft Exchange Upgrade, AAATA requires the successful Proposer to:
A. Review the current email system and recommend improvements for performance, reliability and security.
B. Install and configure a two-server Microsoft Exchange 2013 Database Availability Group for High Availability and resiliency in our existing virtual environment.
C. Migrate the first 10% of current MS Exchange 2010 mailboxes to the new MS Exchange 2013 environment.
D. Configure Outlook web access.
Work in conjunction with AAATA IT staff to ensure knowledge transfer.
F. Integrate best practices throughout the project.
G. Provide documentation of the process to AAATA.
H. Provide advice regarding software and licensing that is necessary for the successful completion of this project.
I. Provide 60 days post-implementation warranty of the services provided.
J. Provide 30 days consulting services for AAATA IT staff regarding the Exchange implementation.
K. Certification as a Microsoft Gold Partner is preferred.
AAATA will provide two (2) virtualized servers and SAN storage based on the successful Proposers recommendation. AAATA will also provide licenses of Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 and user client access licenses prior to the migration project.
Success of this project is dependent not only on the hardware and software, but also on the Contractors skill, effort and experience.
