Identify source systems and the data required in the data warehouse environment to meet the users current and potentially future needs. Prepares data warehouse requirements documentation, playing a lead role on smaller projects, and perform data mapping tasks Meet with business users and conduct interviews for requirements gathering, document the information in a format that the Project team can easily understand and use for their work effort With assistance from Senior DAs, perform analysis of different data sources and database objects with a focus on identifying critical data elements and developing data quality metrics and quality checks Complete and provide input for process documentation as well as other project documents such as Business/Functional Requirements, test scripts and testing Analyze processes to monitor and control data integrity, quality, security, and HIPAA compliant controls Conduct Artifact Peer Reviews Conduct and partner with software developers on data analysis/profiling Communicates business information, technical information and developments to users and technical staff in both verbal and written form; provides or coordinates feedback to management and/or users on all open issues Uses data and other information to influence customers to the appropriate decision Specific Application Skills 1. Facets Experience/Education Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college in business administration, computer science, information systems or a related academic field OR five (5) years of experience supporting Data Warehouse analysis and requirements Three (3) years of experience developing and implementing Data Warehouse solutions, documenting solutions and architectures, serving in a project or team leadership position Experience creating data mapping documentation including Data Flow Diagrams and Context Diagrams based on business rules provided by clients using internal templates Must be knowledgeable of healthcare terminology, concepts and value chain, with intermediate knowledge of one or more key healthcare domains, e.g. client, customer, product, provider, and/or claim. Demonstrated ability to integrate data into a Warehouse environment, with a strong background in Data Quality best practices and disciplines. Extensive experience creating detailed requirements Ability to foster client and peer relationships by collaborating with technical teams internal and external to the data warehouse to review business requirements and documentation and to resolve issues relating to data, coding, or business logic Experience developing data test plans and conducting testing within the data environment Knowledge of data modeling techniques Thorough knowledge and skill in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access and Excel. Working knowledge of current versions of Windows (desktop and server) Proficiency in the use of Access and data profiling Extensive knowledge of ETL processing Extensive knowledge of RDBMS concepts Extensive knowledge of SQL concepts and scripting, with proficiency in querying multiple database objects Successful working experience demonstrating strong critical thinking, analytical, and research skills   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
