The application must be built using .NET and Xamarin, allowing the application to be deployed to both the iOS and Android stores. The application should visually look similar to the existing Snow Emergency mobile application (see links below). The mobile application will need to consume a JSON file from the Citys website to drive logic around when a snow emergency is active and what day of the snow emergency is currently in effect. The application will also need to utilize push notifications when these statuses change. The application will utilize geo-location services on the phone to link to a mapping application that was developed by the City (see link below). We are open to other additions to the application that may be suggested during the development. Deliverables • The developer will need to provide technical documentation of the system with the format to be determined by the City IT staff and the developer. • The developer will participate in design and code reviews with the City IT staff. • The developer will deliver the source code to City IT Department at the end of the project. The City will be responsible for publishing and maintaining the application after it has been delivered.
