Submission Deadline: 7/26/2019 2:00 PM CDT Start Date: 9/1/2019 End Date: 8/31/2020 Client: DHS Description: DHS is seeking Oracle Database Administrator services to support the implementation and ongoing operations of system modernization efforts. This includes, but is not limited to, the development of new environments, support of concurrent cycles of code development and deployment, quality assurance, performance and load testing, troubleshooting, and training. The contracted resources will work closely with state staff to ensure systems modernization efforts are completed accurately and on-time. Resource will be expected to work onsite at 345 Plato Blvd, St. Paul, MN, or as DHS directs otherwise. There will be a period for which the resource will need to work on location in an office at the DHS Brown and Bigelow location until the resource learns the environment, procedures, and security protocols. After that, DHS may permit, subject to its sole discretion, the resource to work remotely. Resources must be available for forty (40) hour work weeks except for State holidays or other exceptions that DHS approves or that the response identifies. DHS may expect resources to work up to fifty (50) hours per week depending on project volume. DHS may adjust daily start and end times depending on the timing and duration of certain tasks assigned, and the need to work in coordination with other teams. The contracted resources must be able to work a flexible schedule in order to cover second shift support. Standard second shift work hours are 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm Monday – Friday, with potential need for flexibility and extended hours based on work load volume. It is the ongoing commitment of Minnesota IT Services to provide technology solutions that are reliable and flexible enough to meet fluctuating customer demand and increasing expectation of 7x24x365 system availability, all while decreasing ongoing support expenses. The State anticipates that in order to perform the work on the systems, resources will be able to access information about individuals that contains data that the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act classifies as "protected health information" and that Minnesota law classifies as "not-public data." The State will therefore require the vendor to sign the business associate agreement attached as a prerequisite. Sample Tasks • Oracle Database administration • Work in Oracle RAC environment • Monitor and maintain Oracle database health and security • Administer IBM Curam schemas on Oracle Database implementations • Support IBM Curam software deployments on Oracle databases • Migrate/Clone IBM Curam database schemas from database to database • Support ActiveVOS schemas on Oracle Database implementations • Work with Application support teams to support IBM WAS,BPM,IIB database repositories • Administer time travel software on Oracle databases to support QA/test efforts • Follow MN State IT standards for database administration procedures • Follow Federal IT standards for database administration procedures • Implement encryption strategies for data at rest and in motion • Provide end-to-end technical support and problem resolution for databases • Schedule and perform regular database maintenance • Support Oracle databases hosting Oracle Access Management schemas/applications • Create database management procedures • Customize Oracle Listener setups for SSL • Create wallets to support Oracle TDE • Participate in companys cross-training program • Implement database changes for DHS/MNsure applications • Provide knowledge   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
