FUNCTIONS - Responsible for assisting project teams in translating requirements and enterprise models into solutions that meet business value objectives and are aligned with standards. - Drive towards agreement on architectural decisions within solution/system development efforts through the depiction of concepts, relationships, constraints, and operations. - Support project teams in the assessment of available information to develop IT Architectures, including design recommendations, to guide informed decisions. - Create working designs based on existing or new architectures in coordination with Enterprise Architect, and promotes pattern and service reuse (limited coding). - Work closely with leadership and project delivery teams to drive alignment with the design decisions made and ensure consistency of implementations with architecture principles and standards, leading to realization of the future state. - Govern against coding guidelines and best practices through mentoring and practical involvement in solution activities. - Work directly with IT delivery to establish design that conform to IT principles and support the strategic direction. Document/publish these standards and lead efforts to incorporate them into the IT fabric. - Work closely with IT delivery to enhance/standardize the product development environment, introducing/maintaining development standards, and evaluate/introduce recommendations to improve the development and runtime stack. - Lead project teams through potential POC efforts related to new technologies or new use of existing technologies. - Identify and communicate gaps within the organizations enterprise architecture Alignment of product/solution architectures with the defined standards. ROLE - Lead Architecture - working collaboratively across the organization in a consultative manner to drive change in alignment with enterprise future state at the enterprise, program, product and project levels. - Influence others through persuasion when no direct authority exists. - Effectively communicate and promote the value of architecture throughout the company and the industry, presenting architectural ideas at the enterprise level to business, executive, and technical personnel. - Foster an environment of teamwork, collaboration and innovation. - Expand the use of new and standard technologies through education, establish and support training opportunities for staff to gain knowledge and work with customers, suppliers, and various industry and standards bodies. - Utilize a Service Oriented Architectural (SOA) approach to developing solutions (service contracts, service management/governance, service design/implementation). - Develop complex solutions utilizing database management systems (Oracle, DB2). - Develop interoperable solutions utilizing an enterprise   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
