Must have at least 5 years experience creating complex visualizations of data based upon identified information needs. This designer will work with an integrated team of designers, business analysts, data scientists, and statisticians creating complex data graphics using Tibcos Spotfire data visualization tool to support key strategic initiatives. Candidates must have verifiable experience working on complex reporting/data visualization initiatives and an understanding of UI/UX design using Spotfire. Candidates should have in depth experience working with requirements analysts and end users to refine identified business needs through in-depth design reviews and information sessions. Must be an analytical thinker, with a strong design sense, and understand implications of the various design options available for a given visualization. Candidates should be results driven, detailed orientated and work well within a dynamic and creative team. This candidate should have experience working in an agile environment. Experience with large data sets, specifically clinical data, what it looks like, what it means and how its used, and applying statistical models is highly desirable. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Design and create data visualizations in Tibco Spotfire to satisfy identified and elaborated business needs captured in the form of user stories Facilitate design review sessions with analysts and key stakeholders to refine and elaborate the data visualizations. Deliver current prototyped visualizations to a production implementation state including bringing them to the next level of UI/UX integration (e.g. HTML, Iron Python scripting). Work with validation and testing team to ensure formal system and user acceptance testing is properly documented Creates the design specification, deployment plans, system manual and other technical documents for respective design activities Support to troubleshooting problems, providing workarounds and producing patches for customers as required Estimates the magnitude and time requirements to complete all tasks major as well as minor feature development. Provides accurate and timely updates to project manager on progress Ensure on time, high quality deliverables and meeting project milestones and deadlines within budget with minimal supervision Assists and mentors other team members in the business application, development technologies or Software Development Lifecycle processes (such as reviewing, designing and testing) Participates in peer review of work products such as code, designs, and test plans produced by other team members MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Candidate should have a minimum of 5-7 years of business experience, combined with relevant education, training and applicable industry certification. Candidate should possess a Bachelors degree. Minimum of 5-7 years of data visualization experience, Spotfire required Strong communication, organizational, prioritization and leadership skills Detailed orientated with strong analytical aptitude, an understanding of statistical methods is highly desired Knowledgeable in both object-oriented analysis & design and database design methods Possess strong data analysis and technical skills Possess good written and oral communication skills as well as presentation skills Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new environments Self-driven and motivated individual that takes pride in the development of high quality, on time, within budget projects Pharma/CRO or healthcare experience within a regulated industry preferred Additional proficiency in Iron Python and R scripting is a plus   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
