This individual must be capable of contributing to the design and development of enterprise-quality desktop front-ends, APIs and database layers to provision complicated scientific analytic outputs to our clients internal users and external partners. Key Responsibilities: -Develop robust software systems across the technology stack to meet aggressive timelines -Identify and incorporate best and most applicable technology platforms -Participate in the collaborative software design and development process -Work within an integrated Agile development team, participating in code review, conflict resolution, deliverable estimation, and repository management -The software developer is expected to have excellent communication and collaboration skills, and to be able to participate in cross-functional contexts, especially in the context of internal software requirements. Qualifications: -B.S. in information technology, computer science or similar field -At least one year of experience in software development -Code samples will be requested of all applicants -The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, experience, education, and capabilities: -Proven team-based software development skills. -Excellent communication skills, both electronic and in-person, are a must. -The ability to respond positively to critiques of both code and software-level outputs is required. -Experience with cloud architectures and development environments. -Strong background and experience with C#. -Experience with Javascript, HTML & CSS, or other front-end software frameworks. -A sound understanding of, and experience with, relational database schemas and SQL queries. -A track record of producing deliverables and meeting aggressive and inflexible deadlines. -Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team. -Excellent planner, organizer, critical thinker, and problem solver with a demonstrated ability to efficiently execute project tasks.
