When the client enters information and presses the GUI button on the computer screen, the system goes out and grabs data/patient information from different locations. Simply put, it pulls patient demographic and insurance information into the laboratory order, ensuring that people never have to retype data that already exists in their EMR system. The existing bridge platform has thousands of interfaces running on client networks all over the country. What they are building specifically: Building interfaces that can interact with other cloud platforms to exchange data – all written in Cloverleaf web services. The tasks will be integration with back-end bridge repositories that could be hosted at Lab Corp or hosted in another cloud environment - but the interaction, regardless of where the demographic lives, will be built on the Cloverleaf web services platform. If Lab Corp is hosting the demographics in a back-end database (Oracle), then Oracle stored procedures will be invoked from a cloverleaf interface (it does not have to be a web services interface) This will be a part of an integration thread that a Cloverleaf web services will request a demographic and get back the demographic (either from another cloverleaf web service or from LabCorps database hosted in Burlington) and then deliver the response via the cloverleaf web service that has fielded the request (from an order entry platform) and deliver the request response back to the app server that requested it.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
