Currently, NC-JOIN collects a significant volume of information on Juveniles served (i.e. demographic information, offense information, court history, program placement, supervision, facility stays, recidivism, etc). NC-JOIN has been our signature application during the first 12 years of the Department and will continue to be for future years to come. NC-JOIN is a valuable asset to those who plan and evaluate programs and services - Assisting with the overall framework structure, navigation, components, workflow and security - Providing technical analysis, design, programming, testing, documentation and implementation support - Adhering to application development frameworks and standards to ensure reusability, maintainability, reliability, extensibility and ease-of-use - Identifying opportunities to improve application development frameworks and team productivity - Participating in all business requirement discussions, design team and prototype meetings - Reviewing all business functional, security, migration, and reporting documentation Required Skills: - BS degree in computer science or related field - Minimum (3) three years of web-based Java development experience - Knowledge of object-oriented methodology - Knowledgeable in Java and the JVM framework - Knowledgeable in Grails, Groovy, Hibernate and related plug-ins - Knowledgeable in the latest versions of HTML, JQuery UI,CSS - Knowledgeable with relational databases and SQL statements - Excellent verbal communication Desired Skills: - Android Mobile application programming and development - Reporting components (e.g. BIRT Reports, Crystal Reports, Data Warehousing, etc.) - Experience with Agile/Iterative development methodology   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
