The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and supporting a suite of agency wide shared services that primarily focus on data loss prevention and will work with a team that is part of the IT Information Security Office (ISO), with end-to-end responsibility for the agency-wide strategy and governance of the enterprise & partnering with each of the lines of businesses to ensure the appropriate execution of this program. Guardium Administration - Configure, monitor, and maintain Guardium administrative definitions such as backup processes, archiving processes, aggregation processes, syslog registration, and SMTP server registration - Load balance Guardium workloads and troubleshoot performance issues that may arise - Assist system administrators in installing new Guardium agents - Configure any required new Guardium appliances to join the centrally managed group - Assist system administrators in applying any required maintenance to Guardium agents - Apply any required maintenance to Guardium appliances - Assign appropriate static network IPs, port forwarding rules, and perform any other necessary network configuration - Rack and connect Guardium hardware appliances to the network and/or provision virtual machines to be Guardium virtual appliances - Provision and manage storage locations for Guardium backups and archives - Define reporting requirements for Guardium - Review and/or sign off on reports being generated by Guardium concerning the transactions occurring in the databases being monitored - Review database entitlement reports - Configure Guardium reports - Define alerting requirements for Guardium - Define correlations in SIEM based on alerts being generated by Guardium - Define parsing rules on the SIEM to properly interpret traffic coming from Guardium - Create and update baselines of “trusted” traffic - Review vulnerability assessment results and assist DBAs in taking action to resolve those vulnerabilities Incident Management • Malware Alerts & Notification • Define escalation procedures for Data Loss Prevention incidents • Participate in incidents regarding Data Loss Prevention for Databases • Maintain and coordinate Incident Response as assigned by the CISO Security Policies & Standards • Assist in development of Data Loss Prevention Policies Required Skills: • At least 2 years IBM Infosphere Guardium installation and administration experience. • Moderate to advanced experience with database development and/or administration on any current, relational database platform. • Moderate to advanced experience with the SQL language. • Moderate to advanced experience with IBM DB2. Desired Skills: • Experience installing, operating and supporting Guardium or other client based data loss prevention tools. • Experience installing, operating and supporting QRadar, Splunk or other SIEM tools. • 5+ years of experience managing servers in a Unix or Linux environment. This includes thorough understanding of system installation and configuration procedures, troubleshooting, and ongoing management.
