Someone who can come in and identify vulnerabilities in the environment and implement solutions to remediate the issues*** Solutions Engineer- Red Hat Linux Requirements: Need Solution Engineer with experience in an enterprise environment – need confidence and good communication skills. RHEL 7- understand System D Work with Satellite 6- this tool is used for patch management solution, building systems through kickstart, automating processes, etc. (Could consider: IBM Big 6 or Microsoft SCCM if they dont have Satellite 6) Experience with Ansible (preferred) or Puppet or Chef, etc. VMware/ Hyper-V – integration into VMware and Hyper-V Responsibilities: Solutions Engineering- need to be able to perform gap analysis to identify gaps/vulnerabilities within the environment and then be able to recommend a solution (product or vendor) to remediate the vulnerability (“fill the gap”). Must be able to work with the vendor to remediate the issues from proof of concept to documentation to handing over to operations successfully from start to finish. Strong documentation: Need to create processes for other people to be able to follow. Ability to test solutions once implemented Needs to be technically savvy so they can support the solutions they are implementing More notes from Manager/Overview: -This person will be defining the patching and vulnerability remediation process -They need to understand how to stand up an enterprise ready patching system-Delhaize already has Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in place, so just needs someone to recognize issues. For example: This person needs to be able to take an audit report and identify what vulnerabilities are there. Need to recognize what is causing the vulnerability/what is causing the issues, what needs to be changed in the configuration and create roadmap for remediation. Once vulnerability is found – will need to identify what team owns the vulnerability – ie. If its Apps then they would work with the security and app team to remediate the vulnerability.
