SAS SPSS Analyst (Jobs in BASKING RIDGE, NJ)   Requirement id 52159 Job title Analyst Job location in Basking Ridge, NJ Skills required IT Professional, Data Analysis, SQL, SAS SPSS Open Date 14-Mar-2016 Close Date Job type Contract Duration 4 Months Compensation DOE Status requirement --- Job interview type ---    Email Recruiter: coolsoft Job Description Analyst: IT Professional, Data Analysis, SQL, SAS SPSS start date:3/20/2016 end date:7/16/2016 submission dead line:3/18/2016 desciption: Lead the collaboration of Verizons data scientists to design and implement best in class data architecture, analytics environment and methodologies for analyzing large sets of structured and unstructured data Oversee the design and act as a contributing principal in the development, implementation and maintenance of the systems that provide acquisition, extraction, transformation, and management of large and complex data sets Facilitate the education and empowerment of analysts and insights consultant teams to use complex data and visualization tools in the delivery and actionable insights and recommendations to drive informed strategic business decisions Spearhead the enhancement of existing systems to support the creation and implementation of new data processes as identified through industry benchmarking and collaborative requirements identification with Verizons data scientist community Develop statistical rigor around social data which will include influencer identification, quantifying impact of Verizon brand and marketing campaigns on key business metrics and evaluate effectiveness of the existing programs, utilizing social/digital data Uses advanced statistical modelling and analysis to understand relationship between data collected using multiple listening posts with customer database and business KPIs Develop and implement machine learning algorithms across multiple platforms and systems to create scalable solutions from complex data sets Create algorithms to increase efficiencies around unstructured data processing and increase optimization of data supply chain Collaborating with IT and business stakeholders to ensure data governance audit standards Analytics vendor research and evaluation to ensure best in class analytics toolkit for consumer insights analysis Qualifications: Bachelors degree in quantitative discipline such as statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science or information sciences such as business analytics or informatics, MBA/MS preferred 3+ years experience in data mining, large scale data acquisition, transformation and cleaning of structured and unsecured data In-depth and extensive knowledge of predictive modelling, statistical techniques and machine learning tools (Regressions, Cluster analysis, Conjoint) Familiarity with business intelligence tools (SQL, Aster, SAS, R, Python, SPSS Modeler, Tableau) Experience with Hadoop and NoSQL helpful Ability to analyze complex data sets, draw conclusions and relationships and develop actionable recommendations as well as effectively communicate actionable insights to category leads supporting their goals and objectives Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize multiple requests in a fast-paced environment Ability to collaborate with people at all levels, including Executive leadership, and across multiple business units Experience working with Fortune 500 executives in taking requests and creating executive level presentations Proven effectiveness in driving successful completion of large, cross-functional initiatives, including adoption of associated support processes Equal Employment Opportunity Verizon is a Federal Contractor Verizon requests veteran priority referrals Verizon is an equal opportunity employer/disability/vet   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
