Description:

Responsibilities

Are you Tech Terrific, an innovative thinker, and have great interpersonal skills? We have a 30-month project with our client in Albany, NY that requires a Senior Business Analyst

Develop and/or maintain system documentation, including business requirements, project process documentation, training guide documentation, test plans, quality assurance, and reporting.

Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to:

Elicit business requirements using a combination of the following methods: analyze current processes, interview users, review/analyze existing documentation.
Analyze all documentation to develop and document the business processes and workflow; providing business flow diagrams as required.
Investigate and recommend potential replacement applications, including Commercial off the Shelf solutions and/ or applications utilized by other New York State agencies.
Participate in project scope and project plan development.
Collaborate with business unit and technical leads to translate business requirements into technical requirements.
Identify use cases and develop detailed test scripts.
Execute test plans and report issues accordingly.
Complete action plan items, and report status of deliverables appropriately.

Mandatory Qualifications:

Analyzes an organization or business domain (real or hypothetical) and documents its business or processes or systems, assessing the business model or its integration with technology with distinct deliverables to a solution.
60 - 84 Months: Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance and provides guidance to others. May have an advanced education.

Preferred Qualifications:

60 months experience eliciting/extracting detailed business requirements from customer/project stakeholders or system artifacts. Candidate should describe in detail the processes surrounding requirements gathering, as well as provide specific examples of tools used in eliciting, creating, and maintaining BRDs, Use cases, and other related documents.
24 months experience with systems related to State Police/criminal justice processing, including but not limited to: Systems related to the State Police LIMS (Laboratory information management System)/Prelog, PDS (Personnel Data System), SCOC (State Commission on Corrections) and DOCC Supervision.
60 months experience developing/maintaining test plans and detailed test cases, executing those tests, validating test results, and logging/tracking related defects. Candidate should describe in detail the processes surrounding test planning, as well as provide specific examples of tools used to create, maintain, and execute test plans, and cases.
12 months experience using HP Quality Center.
12 months experience with automated testing and/or Quick Test Pro
