We have a project with our client in Albany, NY that requires a Software Architect, Expert Will lead technical architecture for computer application development in support of the Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL) grant for Hospital Quality Improvement in Newborn Screening. Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to: Oversee and manage the technical architecture for new Newborn Screening applications including providing technical expertise, guidance and visioning the design of complex critical public health applications Lead all topics of technical design development and construction including definition of the architecture, infrastructure, system layout, technology stack and frameworks for grant-related applications Perform technical implementation, ensuring technical coherence of application development life cycle, mitigating risk with chosen technical approaches and ensuring performance, scalability, and extensibility of design. Execute responsive web-based application design including PHP- based applications interfacing with REST services, Drupal implementation including writing custom modules with OOP, implementing JavaScript frameworks, and using SCSS/LESS, Twig, Grunt/Gulp and SQL. Mandatory Qualifications: Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large-scale software system. 84+ Months-Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
