Responsibilities

Are you energetic and enthusiastic, as well as uniquely talented? We have a 30-month project with our client in Albany, NY that requires a Senior Software Architect

Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to:

Responsible for assisting with the technical design for new development and system enhancements.
Responsible for coordinating the technical solutions among various technical support groups.
Presentations of technical solutions to management and technical support areas.
Responsible for implementing technical solutions.
Assisting with requirements gathering sessions.
Leading the analysis of requirements and system design work.
Development of technical design documents and program specifications.
Coding, unit and integration testing of programming assignments.
Writing and tuning SQL
Technical Support of user testing efforts.
Performance tuning of new and existing applications.
Production support tasks including analysis of issue, propose and implement solutions.
Mentoring of less experienced staff would be required.

Mandatory Qualifications:

Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large-scale software system.
60 - 84 Months: Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance and provides guidance to others. May have an advanced education.

Preferred Qualifications:

72 months experience with a Government Taxation organization which includes hands on technical design, development, maintenance, and end user support of complex Tax Accounting Systems
60 months experience with Java programming in an IBM Environment development using IDE of IBMs Rational Application Developer (RAD) that are built with WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
72 months experience with COBOL programming and MVS JCL in an IBM Mainframe Environment
72 months experience with IBM DB2 working with complex database structures.
12 months experience with IDMS in a mainframe environment
72 months experience with IBM MQSeries
72 months experience with TSO in a mainframe environment
24 months integration experience and Analysis of PeopleSoft based Statewide Financial Systems
72 months of experience writing technical design specification documents for multifaceted component-based systems.
