The Software Architect will design, develop, implement, support, and enhance, custom applications written in Java/J2EE, JSF, XML, SQL, or other programming languages. Ensure user interfaces and back-end services are developed according to architecture, programming, and user experience (UX) standards. Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to: Provide oversight on the analysis and design for enterprise applications using JAVA/JEE, JSF, XML, XSLT. Expected to guide in the development of applications throughout the SDLC, including the redesign of legacy applications. Implement standards related to application technologies, including UI standards, development methodology, and coding and style guides. Develop and guide quality assurance processes including code reviews, performance testing, security scans, and adherence to industry, state, and federal standards. Identify and escalate technical risks and issues appropriately. Guide and engage in development activities which may include data analysis, data structures, data manipulation, preparing logical database models. Prepare, and/or review technical documentation such as system architecture designs, schemas, solution proposals, as appropriate. Mandatory Qualifications: Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large-scale software system. 84+ Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. Preferred Qualifications: 84 months experience leading agile development teams which involve planning, designing, implementing, and integrating highly complex available and scalable multitier applications using Object Oriented or Service Oriented Architecture involving data structures, algorithms, software design and JEE Design Patterns on an IBM platform. 84 months experience in creating technical designs using Rational Software Architect (RSA) and developing and deploying applications in IBM Websphere Portal 6.1, Websphere Application servers 6.1, IBM Process Server 7.x or higher. 24 months experience planning, designing, implementing, and integrating IBM software solutions on an Integrated Justice Portal. 24 months experience planning, designing, implementing, and integrating systems related to criminal justice processing (including but not limited to: disposition processing, fingerprint identification processing, criminal history updating, Sex Offender management, tracking of Wanted/Missing persons, or initiatives related to Offender Supervision). 60 months experience in developing and deploying multi-tier web applications using Java Server Faces, or Spring framework. 60 months experience in developing applications using JMS, MDB, EJB, MQ, JSF, JAXB, JAXWS, JPA (or Hibernate).   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
