Are you Tech Terrific, an innovative thinker, and have great interpersonal skills? We have a 24-month project with our client in Rensselaer, NY that requires a Software Analyst, Expert

The person in this position will be the sole CCTA resource to provide Production support, verify interface files are successful, quality assurance and coordination of vendor maintenance/enhancements to the application

Day-to-Day Tasks include, but not limited to:

Develop and execute SQL queries to extract data providing ad-hoc reports to business users.
Perform business metrics collection and data presentation to business users and senior management.
Monitor data import and application interfaces. Work to resolve any data issues.
Work with business users for developing business analysis, documentation, and validation.
Perform analysis of business problems and document business logic implemented.
Document and analyze both data and system functionality requests from local districts.
Review report requests and develop prototype reports.
Collaborate with business users on user interface and user experience needs.
Review and provide feedback for customer application surveys.

Mandatory Qualifications:

Studies the software application domain, prepares software requirements, and specification documents. Liaises between the software users and the software developers. Conveys the demands of software users to the developers. Skills include working knowledge of software technology; computer programming experience/expertise; general business knowledge; problem solving/reduction skills; interpersonal relation skills; flexibility and adaptability.
84+ Months-Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

Preferred Qualifications:

84 months experience facilitating meeting with users to identify & gather business requirements
60 months experience testing XML based Web Services, integration environment consisting of Web application and Database servers.
72 months experience in writing test plans & cases, validation of requirements against system, and reporting on finding to both technical and non-technical staff.
60 months of SQL coding experience for writing SQL data queries for extraction and/or validation of application data.
72 months experience working with business user communities, technical teams, and management to develop implement and maintain metrics, standards, policies, process and controls for testing.
Bachelors Degree
