This team is responsible for three core functions; Network Hardware & Software currency, configuration compliance and vulnerability management. The position will focus on hardware & software deployment, and configuration compliance efforts for new data and voice networking technologies. Role Description: Automate common network tasks utilizing Perl, Expect and Python Create project plan for refresh and currency efforts Partner with vendors to develop BOM for all projects / efforts Create detailed diagrams, implementation plans, run books, and required turnover documents Partner with Network Engineering team to design technical solutions and define standards Work closely with management and finance on network costs and recovery Manage weekly time reporting for accuracy and resource availability Participate in peer review processes to ensure highest degree of quality for planned activities Provide subject matter expertise for setting and reviewing Network configuration standards Communicate and present to upper level management On demand troubleshooting to assist with any escalated network availability issues Work nights and weekends as needed to perform implementations after business hours This position requires some work to be completed outside of normal business hours. Required Skills: Minimum recommended network experience of 2+ years. Proven experience with core technologies within the team include routing, switching, wireless LAN with an emphasis on ISR, ASR, 3600 and 4500 platforms, and Cisco and Avaya Voice platforms. The desired candidate should possess a strong working knowledge within as many disciplines as possible. Candidate is required to have experience with project coordination, IT analysis, and be organized and diligent. Candidate is required to have fundamental network skills and experience at the level of CCNA. Must demonstrate strong working knowledge of enterprise change control procedures. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
