Skills needed for this position are: -Report Development -Technical skills: Cognos, SQL -Understanding of Cognos solution development including reports, dashboards, framework, data module, etc. -Familiarity with Cognos 11, is highly valued -Ability to understand Business Objects reports for the purposes of completing analysis for conversion to Cognos -Resource will be paired with senior architect/developer who will be directing their work. Strong culture fit is preferred, this person must be a team player, communicate well, be open to input, ask lots of questions, and very accountable. We are willing to work with junior resources as long as the team fit is right. -Design, develop, and maintain relational databases for data storage and data mining. -Perform data warehouse design and testing, including data design, database architecture, metadata, and repository creation. -Design data warehouse schematics, layouts, and capacity planning. -Create and implement effective metrics and monitoring processes. -Develop processes and procedures for entering information into data warehousing systems and for ensuring reliability of information entered. -Seek continuous improvement in performance of data warehouse and ensure security of data.
