OO AnalysisDesign Unit Testing JS Frameworks RDBMS Oracle Developer (Jobs in Lo   Requirement id 42871 Job title Developer Job location in Loveland, OH Skills required WebSphere Commerce, Software Engineering, Java/J2EE Development, OO AnalysisDesign Unit Testing JS Framew Open Date 27-Jan-2015 Close Date Job type Contract Duration 6 Months Compensation DOE Status requirement --- Job interview type ---    Email Recruiter: coolsoft Job Description Developer: WebSphere Commerce, Software Engineering, Java/J2EE Development, OO AnalysisDesign Unit Testing JS Framew Work collaboratively on an agile team with other developers, business analysts, testers, technical / solution architect and scrum masters. * Develop technical solutions to business problems and work collaboratively with the business to determine how best to implement new requests. * Develop and maintain dynamic object oriented eCommerce application code with a strong emphasis on J2EE architectures and patterns. * Participate in Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review and Retrospective meetings. * Design, develop, and unit test product extensions, interfaces, applications and data conversion modules for reliability, scalability, manageability, performance and re-use. * Create design documents supporting the agile development process. * Contribute to reduction of technical debt through code refactoring, re-architecture & design. * Participate in the overall solution testing as needed. * Act as subject matter expert on areas of the application and provides support as necessary. * Report status of work to the agile team and quickly escalates to the Scrum Master when impediments are faced. * Continuously learn new skills and share / apply new learning with the rest of the team. * Identify opportunities to simplify application and break new requests into minimal working parts. * Report time and expenses accurately and on-time. * Demonstrate flexibility and ability to work with a globally distributed team. SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES * Minimum of 2+ years of recent WebSphere Commerce development experience preferred. * Minimum of 5+ years software engineering development experience, 5 years of which are Java/J2EE specific, is required. * OO design experience and experience applying design patterns and UML familiarity is essential. * Expert experience in Java technologies including: J2EE Servlets, Struts 1 & 2, JSP, Struts/Tiles, SWT, JDBC, EJB, JMS. Nice to have: Spring MVC, Velocity, Thymeleaf. * Hands on experience creating and consuming web services (REST, SOAP, XML-RPC, etc). * Unit Testing and Test Skills experience: JUnit, JMeter, etc. * Familiarity with queuing systems. Preferred: MQ Series, JMS, Oracle 11.01. * Familiarity with XML, XSD, and XSL. * Proficient with front-end technologies: JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, XHTML, CSS, DOM. Nice to have: AngularJS, Bootstrap * Good working experience with standard JS frameworks like jQuery and Ext JS. * Experience with RDBMS, Oracle strongly preferred * Familiarity with NoSQL. Preferred: Solr/Lucene, Endeca. * Application server experience: WebLogic, Tomcat. Nice to have: Solaris, RedHat. * Configuration Management/source control tools: Git, Ant, Maven, bash.
